General contractor Harrison Homes recently began vertical construction on 74 townhomes in East Roswell along Holcomb Bridge Road in Roswell, Georgia. The townhomes are a part of the East Village suburban infill redevelopment and will provide added home inventory in a tight local market.
Townhomes especially, are hard to come by in Roswell. A Super Target previously occupied the real estate, which now consists of a 335-unit, Class A garden-style multifamily community, 35,000 square feet of retail, 40,000 square feet of existing retail, and the 74 high-end townhomes developed by joint venture partners Milepost Development and Batson-Cook Development Co.
Harrison Homes designed the transitional three-story townhomes which offer two-, three-, and four-bedroom units, ranging in size from 1,276 to 1,996 square feet.
“The townhome exteriors are a beautiful mix of southern traditional architecture and farmhouse design, with unique bold colors that individualize the units. The mix of materials-metal, brick, wood brackets, vertical board and batten, shake and traditional siding work together to create a stunning product,” said architect Jason McBryde.
Recognizing that people have different lifestyle needs, Harrison’s design team crafted several floor plan options for broad appeal. The townhomes all feature open concept living, where the kitchen, dining, and living rooms flow seamlessly, with an unobstructed view from front to back on the main floor. Each unit incorporates an oversized pantry, too, with up to 26 square feet of area. Smaller units boast oversized garages, providing more storage which is often lacking in townhomes. The largest plan includes a luxurious five-piece primary bathroom and a “workspace,” giving residents a dedicated space to set up shop and work from home. Home offices are also included in some plans.
Appealing finishes such as 10-foot ceilings in the main areas, quartz countertops, shaker style cabinetry in two color options, walk in pantries, spa-like baths with double vanities and a free-standing tub, full-size washers and dryers, two-car garages, second level balconies, and private, fenced-in yards set these townhomes apart.
